Orup
From 1984 to 1989, Orup, born Thomas Eriksson, became a major force in Swedish pop music. After his early work in bands like Ubangi, his solo career took off in 1987 with the single “Är du redo?”. He achieved his breakthrough with the hit “Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar.” His self-titled debut album in 1988 and the follow-up, 2, in 1989, both went to number one. The period culminated with his successful duet with Anders Glenmark at the 1989 Melodifestivalen.
