Bon Jovi
Between 1984 and 1989, Bon Jovi rose from a new act to global rock superstars. They released their self-titled debut in 1984, followed by 7800° Fahrenheit in 1985. However, it was their 1986 album, Slippery When Wet, that catapulted them to fame. The album sold over 28 million copies worldwide, with smash hits like “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “You Give Love a Bad Name.” They continued their success with New Jersey (1988), which also produced multiple top-ten singles and sold over 10 million copies. The band became synonymous with the pop-metal sound of the era.
