Kim Wilde
Between 1984 and 1989, Kim Wilde released three studio albums: Teases & Dares (1984), Another Step (1986), and Close (1988). The 1986 album “Another Step” featured her successful cover of The Supremes’ classic, “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” which became her first and only No. 1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Close” became a commercial success in 1988, producing five Top 40 singles and solidifying her status as the UK’s most charted female artist of the decade. Her career in this period also saw her nominated for several awards, including four Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist.
